A rather favorite line in hero fare.
It means that the masses are reliant upon one person... to solve the problems that the masses couldn't figure out or unite to solve themselves.
Hence enters our sucker.
Gotta admit it's not the fault of the masses. Just as one hero is called to help them when they are in deep trouble... it takes just as many to oppress them.
One, we the masses, have somehow given or granted an authority over us.
And don't seem to have an ability to easily remove the troublesome pest from his position when he's known to have abused/ misused his authority against the common good of the community at large.
These pests are usually people who are inaccessible to us.
They control aspects of our material livelihood that affect us.
Food.
Clothing.
Shelter.
Peace of mind.
Work.
And most importantly,.. the manner and means to obtain all those.
I wonder about all this as I sit here in my fish tank bowl-like of a prison cell of an apartment.
Three walls, a ceiling and floor. One giant window as a wall ...letting in the cold.
Only enough heat to keep the pipes from getting damaged from the winter cold.
Our society is a prison, not a community.
Do any of you really care about any holiday's meaning -and to celebrate it
...or is it of the fact you have time off and away from that bastard boss and the low paying job.
Soon the holidays will become an annoyance to the "powers that be" ...and they'll "change things for you" to be more productive at (their) work,.... with just as less pay.
And what will you all do about that?
What would your hero do?
